NAFLD or Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease is a condition (or many) that are caused by a build-up of fat in the liver. This is not caused by over use of alcohol. A routine blood test with your doctor will determine if your liver enzymes are too high. An estimated 7,800.000 people in Canada are living with NAFLD, it is the most common liver disease in the world.

Causes of NAFLD can included, eating too much fat, too much processed food, stress and anxiety, exposure to toxins, and a diet high in sugar. While there is no immediate problem with having a fatty liver it can lead to more serious conditions including cirrhosis and cancer.

Symptoms of NAFLD
